The Earth Exploded On My Nails!

Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I know, not everyone loves Mondays, but for me, its the day of the week that we always have our weekly mani challenges from Polish-Aholics Anonymous on Facebook. This weeks theme was Splatter and this is what I came up with. After I was done, I decided it kind of looked like the colors of Earth splattered into space. LOL, so there's the title explanation for you. On to the pictures!

In direct sunlight and a teeny bit blurry to show the awesome holo-ness of China Glaze Fairy Dust.

In the shade.

I used:
Base coat: Nail Envy
Base Color: Pure Ice Electric!
Splatter colors: China Glaze Custom Kicks
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue
Glitter: China Glaze Fairy Dust
Top Coat: Poshe(which is so far working for me as my Seche replacement! Just takes a bit longer to dry all the way down through the layers)

Overall, I am loving this mani! The first and only splatter I had ever tried before this was awful and thankfully this one made me appreciate splatter nails again. I'm crossing my fingers for my mailman to bring me my Barielle and Zoya orders today! So what do you think? Thanks for reading!

  2. @Kate, thanks! Yes, a great tip I have is to use the barrel of a pen instead of a straw! I tried this the first time with straws and failed miserably. This time, the pen hole was much smaller and held the polish for me to blow it on my nails. Taping around the nails can help with cleanup, too. I just ran out of tape so I had to clean up with acetone after. :)

  6. I haven't been dying to try this until now, the barrel of a pen sounds much 'neater' than a straw! and the colors you use are so pretty!

  7. @serendipitously.create, thanks!! I can't wait to see yours!

@Carrie, glad to hear this may have inspired you to try it! Yes, pens are so much easier to use if you can spare one around the house! Thanks for the color compliment, I was looking for some one-coaters in my stash so they would show up easier on the black and they worked out pretty well. :)
