The Digit-al Dozen DOES It All Again: Tape!

Good morning, readers! It's almost the end of the September Spectacular with The Digit-al Dozen. Tomorrow is the last theme day and our major giveaway ends in 2 days!! Go enter if you haven't already! It's an awesome prize of a $200 gift certificate to the etailer of your choice!

Onto today's challenge theme: Tape! I have decided that I love manis that use striping tape and textured polishes together, so that's what I did. I haven't done a color block mani with tape yet and thought it would be cool using some of my new fall Zoya Pixie Dusts!

  • I did 2 coats of Zoya Loredana and then a coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top to help with the drying process.
  • Once dry, I placed the striping tape pieces where I wanted them to go.
  • I then took Kiko Sugar Mat 644 and Zoya fall Pixies Carter, Arabella, and Chita and sponged them on with tiny pieces of torn makeup sponge into the rectangle openings.
  • Finally, I peeled back the striping tape and had this fun color block!

What do you think? I like the clean lines of a color block using striping tape so I think I'll call it a success! Thanks for reading! Come back tomorrow for the FINAL nail art theme day!

  4. That's awesome! I'm impressed you were able to get such clean lines with the texture... I know doing this with glitter is difficult. I like that we can do neat tape manis with these PixieDusts!
