My September Julep Maven Box!

Yay! I have a lot of fun getting a monthly box from Julep Maven. I just got my September box yesterday, on the 1st of the month, so that worked out well!! It only took 6 days to get here from Seattle this time, so 2 days faster than last month. I wonder if they changed their shipping? Anyway, happy girl over here! Here are the goods:

This month's box:
Everyday SPF Hand Cream($28)
Julep Essential Cuticle Oil($18)
Boris & Nicole nail color($14)
Total retail price $60, I paid $19.99 with the Julep Maven program. :)

Here is a side view of the Cuticle Oil next to the polish. I have a theory to explain these odd shaped "windows" on the sides of the bottles. I think they are supposed to represent what a stroke of polish would look like, and in this case, a roll of the cuticle oil. Anyone else with me on that? I feel very smart for this theory! hahaha

This is the lovely Boris & Nicole! Such a gorgeous bronzy color, but check out the shimmer!!

Ready for my thoughts on this box? I was a little disappointed to only get 1 polish this month(because I love polish!) but at least I love the color they chose for me. I also really like the cuticle oil. It is thin and a roll on, so it's super easy to use and smells nice! Kind of a nature-y smell..maybe trees? I can't place it, but I do like it. I am an avid cuticle balm user, and this may change my mind! Or at least, I will leave this in my purse and use it often as well as using my cuticle balm before bed! On to the hand cream, I was happy it was 30SPF, but I don't love it. It smells like sunblock, and feels a bit like it, too. Not as greasy as sunblock, but much thinner than my current hand lotion. I'll definitely keep it and use it if we plan to be outside, but I won't be replacing my thicker hand cream with it.

Don't forget, with Julep Maven:

  1. Very pretty polish! Perfect for the coming Autumn months. I skipped my September Julep Maven box because I had not received my sneak peek box yet. But I'm noticing everyone's September boxes have gorgeous Autumn colors.

I thought the same thing about the unique window design on the bottles. And the silhouettes on the scrub and lotion. They seem to represent what an application of the product looks like.

  2. @Ashley, thank you!! Too bad you skipped it, but aren't you glad you CAN skip a month? That's one of my favorite parts!! And glad I'm not the only one who thought that about the windows LOL

  3. That's how they get you-the first box has 2 polish and from then on only one polish per month! I love this color-am adding it to my "repull" list if I don't like what color they pick for me!

  4. I agree with Fingers, I think they just added the 2 polishes on your introductory box. Wonder why this polish has TWO names? It sure is gorgeous though!

  5. That's a gorgeous color - I've seen something similar recently but, for the life of me, I can't remember what it was called. As for the Maven box after the quiz it said "each month will feature 2-3 colors from our line and a variety of nail therapys" I'm kind of hoping this next box will be 2 colors and one therapy.

  8. I like your box because I love nail care and that oil looks cool, I wish I could sign up but i can't swing 20$ a month to my hubby since I already get bb, maybe someday.

  9. thank you everyone! I love it. The polish has 2 names because it represents a famous couple. And I am still hoping next month has 2 colors again. It's all about the price the stuff is worth and I know the scrub and cuticle oil were pricey so I'm thinking they won't have as many hair care things after these 2 months that we will be back to polish again! Don't cancel!!
