Sea Lore Aquata!

Hello readers! Any blue lovers out there? I have to admit, it's one of my favorite nail polish colors. I'm a sucker for blues and was very excited when I saw Sea Lore Aquata in the bottle. On the nail, I loved it even more! This is the third polish from Sea Lore's Triton's Daughters Collection that I'm featuring this week. If you missed my two earlier posts, you can find the intro to the Triton's Daughters Collection and Ariel post HERE, and the Andrina post HERE.

Aquata is one of the 2 polishes in the collection that doesn't have glitter. It's flakies and really gorgeous. I love that they aren't all glitters because flakies can be great for layering and seem to look awesome over any base color. They can be a hidden shimmer on a lighter polish base, or a dramatic effect over black or darker polishes. I chose to try it over a coordinating base color, China Glaze Rainstorm, and I may never wear Rainstorm again without it. It added such depth and I love it! This is one of my favorite manis out of the entire collection. I love this on it's own, but can also see it as an awesome base for nail art as well!

Aquata is described as a "deep sea blue jelly base with blue shimmer and blue iridescent flakies." I really wish you could all see this in person because it's so much more awesome than my pictures captured. (Well, I guess you will just need to go buy both polishes to see for yourself haha). Again, the base is slighty tinted but I don't think it would change a non-blue base color very much so just imagine the combinations!

There are also little silver bits as you can see in this picture!

Aren't they a perfect match?

I just love this so much.

Only one coat over China Glaze Rainstorm! TONS of flakies!

I used:
Duri Rejuvacote
2 coats of China Glaze Rainstorm
1 coat of Sea Lore Aquata
1 coat of NYC Grand Central Station quick dry top coat

What do you think? Too tame for you chunky glitter lovers? Perfect for those that don't like big glitters? I think this would be awesome for you glitter lovers if you layered it before a chunky glitter as well, to add more shimmer and depth. I am absolutely a chunky glitter lover but love this mani on it's own so much more than I expected to! Can you imagine this as a base for a full image stamp design? I can and fully intend to try it soon! Aquata was very easy to apply and of course was very smooth after one coat of top coat. No sharp flakies!

All of Sea Lore's polishes are hand mixed, Cruelty Free, and 3-Free! They can be purchased online here: http://www.sealore.net/store/index.php?main_page=products_all

They come in full size 15ml bottles for $10 and mini size 7.5ml bottles for $5.50.
