SinfulColors Mirror Metallics Swatch and Review!

Press Sample

Good morning, readers! TGIF! Next week starts Red, Green, and Gold Week with The Digit-al Dozen so this weekend I have some swatches to show you! Today's post features 4 of the 7 new Mirror Metallics from SinfulColors!

The Mirror Metallics nail polish collection from SinfulColors features seven sparkling shades guaranteed to steal the spotlight. Infused with sensuous shimmer, these luminous tints will light up your holiday celebration. The Mirror Metallics collection covers the color scheme from seductive purple to bold gold. Each is designed to bring a sweeping holiday spirit to all who partake in the festivities.

There are 7 total colors, and I have 4 to show you. Below are descriptions of all 7 colors, the top 4 being the ones you will see in this post.

Pine Away: a glittery X-mas tree green.
Red Eye: a sprinkle of crimson by candlelight.
Purple Heart: a royal rush of a rich purple.
Triple Platinum: a light shade of lilac tinted with tinsel.
Gold Metal: a golden, glimmering goddess.
Blue Steel: a brilliant blue gush of gift-wrap.
Simply Silver: a sparkling ornamental shade of silver.

Red Eye is a gorgeously glowy red that leans more to the pink side than orange. Really great coverage, almost a one coater but the second was perfect. Showing below with top coat.

Pine Away is a great holiday green without being too bright. The shimmer really compliments this one. Showing two coats with top coat below. I did have slight staining upon removal with the use of base coat so double up on base coat. (a good scrub with baking soda and water did the trick!)

Purple Heart is the darker of the 2 purples. This is a gorgeous royal purple and I love it! Two coats with top coat for the photos below.

Lastly, we have Triple Platinum. The lighter of the purples, it was more sheer on the first coat compared to the others. However, the second coat covered well and that's all I'm showing below with top coat. I like the silver tone with this purple.

In the bottle, the two purples worried me that they would be too close. However, on the nail was an entirely different story! Below is my comparison. They look great together in the same mani! Accent nails anyone?

My friend Laurie from Dressed Up Digits asked me if they work as stamping polishes. It's a very popular question whenever metallic collections surface so I decided to try them out! I've painted each nail on this nail wheel in half white, half black. then I stamped a full stamp over the entire thing so you can see how they show up over both color bases.

As you can see, they are beautiful over white. The shimmer comes out on the black but the color is only slightly noticeable. I think they would do great over coordinating lighter colors. Triple Platinum was the least bright at transferring, which didn't surprise me since it had the thinnest formula.

So what do you think of these shimmering Mirror Metallics for the season? I really love them all and was impressed with the formula! The price point of SinfulColors is really great. You get really good quality at a price everyone can afford.

These are available exclusively at Walgreens for Holiday 2013. They are only $1.99 each!
