Swatch Saturday: Zoya Awaken and Monet!

Press Sample

Good morning, readers! I showed you the press release for this new Zoya Awaken Collection at the beginning of the year and I've been patiently waiting for the release. Finally, they have arrived! 3 gorgeous shimmer metallics, 2 creams, a frosty gold, and an iridescent glitter topper make up the collection.

Zoya Dillion: a mint green shimmer metallic.
2 coats with no top coat shown below. You may prefer three coats, in some lighting I could "see through" the tips a bit.

Zoya Rebel: a blue sky shimmer metallic.
2 coats with no top coat shown below. As with Dillon, you may prefer three coats.

Zoya Hudson: a purple orchid shimmer metallic.
2 coats with no top coat shown below. As with the 2 other metallics, you may prefer three coats depending on how thick your coats are.

Zoya Brooklyn: a frosty gold shimmer.
2 coats without top coat shown below. The formula is frosty and you can't really get away from brush strokes showing in the final product.

Zoya Dot: a pink petal cream.
3 coats shown below with no top coat. (This was originally released with Zang Toi's SS14 collection.)

Zoya Cole: a peach whisper cream.
3 coats shown below with no top coat. (This was originally released with Peter Som's SS14 Collection.)

Zoya Monet: multicolor, cellophane iridescent topper.
One coat shown over Cole. The formula is on the thicker side but the glitters spread fairly well. The iridescent glitters kind of disappear on these lighter spring colors and would look better over a darker color.

There they are! What do you think of this new spring collection by Zoya? Personally, I love the shimmer metallics! They are beautiful, shimmery, and some of my favorite colors! The lighter creams unsurprisingly needed three coats to even them out, but the colors are pretty. Which are your favorites?

These are available now on Zoya.com! Monet is $10 while the rest retail for $9.

*The polishes in this post were sent for me to review with my honest opinion.

  1. I've got Hudson, Rebel and Monet coming today! I'll probably get the green another time. I got Dot the pink in an Ipsy bag, so I'm about set!
So pretty and springy....and we're getting another storm this weekend in Ohio. :(

  2. There are some gorgeous frosts in there. In fact, that mint green is the exact same color as a bikini bathing suit that my mom and I made for me in junior high school. That is the first thing I thought of when I saw that color...where have I seen this before? And then it hit me! I remember that fabric too, it was shimmery and slippery and so hard for a beginner to sew with. (Thanks Mom for the help!)

  3. I love Monet, but I am having such a hard time with it, the glitters keep sinking into the polish, no matter how long I wait for the polish to dry and it creates tiny pin holes throughout the other layers of polish! I've tried it on top of a bunch of different polishes and the same thing happens everytime. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

  5. I like the looks of Dillon, Rebel and Hudson, but the others don't interest me.
