Friday Florals With The Liquidus Summer 2014 Collection!

Press Sample

Good evening! Today, Liquidus Nail Gloss released their new trio of Summer polishes and I have swatches of them to share with you today, plus a fun floral half moon mani nail art look I created using all three! If you don't remember my other posts on Liquidus Nail Gloss, the polishes are all inspired by rocks, gems, and minerals! I just love that! Today's trio consists of Sapphire, Citrine, and Coral.

Before we get to the nail art, let's take a look at each individual polish!

Liquidus Sapphire
Inspired by the deep blue hue of the mineral, Sapphire, this polish is a deep black/navy blue with a hint of shimmer. It dries to a matte finish.
Although one coat was almost enough, I'm showing two coats below with no top coat to show off the matte finish. The second macro shot is with top coat added to show off the hidden shimmer a bit more. I love the shimmer!

 Below, with shiny top coat.

Liquidus Citrine
Inspired by the yellow variety of quartz, Citrine, this polish is a shimmery bright yellow.
I'm showing two coats below with no top coat.
Slightly frosty but a gorgeous bright and summery yellow that I love!

Liquidus Coral
Inspired by the pinks and oranges of the living gemstone, Coral, this polish is a bright jelly.
I'm showing two coats below with no top coat.
Because of the jelly formula, there is still some visible nail line at 2 coats so you would need more coats if you wanted to cover it. It leans more orange than pink coral.

And here is the fun nail art I came up with using the collection!
  • I kept my 2 coats of Coral as my base and did a free handed half moon shape using Citrine
  • Then, with my nail art brush, I did simple petals coming out toward the tips following the half moon shape.
  • Finally, I used a small dotting tool and Sapphire, which appears mostly black in this look, to add some dots in the center of the flower.
  • Topped with Seche Vite top coat.

What do you think of this nail art and the new Liquidus Nail Gloss Summer 2014 Collection? I think I'm really into modifying the half moon mani for nail art lately so this was a really fun look to wear!
