Red Dog Designs: 4 of the Spooky Treats Collection!

Press Sample

Good afternoon, readers! I have another post for today. I recently received half of the new Red Dog Designs Spooky Treats Collection and I wanted to share them with you in case you'd love to get some in time to wear for Halloween!

Dead Man's Party- White skull glitters, with various sized hex and square glitters in neon shades of pink, blue, green, orange, and black, sprinkled with micro holo glitter in a clear base.

I'm showing one coat over a gray creme, with top coat and paired with an Incoco nail strip that I've colored in using jelly polishes. Dead Man's Party applied easily and I love the skulls paired with the bright glitters!

Skeletini: Pink skull glitters, with various sized hex and shredded glitters in dark pastel shades of pink, yellow, green, purple, and black, sprinkled with micro holo glitter in a clear base.

I'm showing one coat over a light blue thermal polish (I'll have a post in the future about it alone) with top coat. I loved this the most, and kind of felt it was the "girly" version of Dead Man's Party. I've paired it with an accent of a simple girly skull nail art design. It applied easily.

The Haunting HourVarious sized hex and square glitters in a mix of black, gun metal, orange and silver holo, including silver holo moons and stars, sprinkled with micro holo glitter in a clear base.

I really wanted to play off the orange glitter so I've layered one coat over a green and black gradient. It really made the orange pop and I love the holo moons and stars! It applied easily and I've paired it with an Incoco ghost nail strip. You may want to use a thick top coat to seal in the star and moon edges.

Corn Maze: Various sized hex and square glitters in shades of gold, yellows, holo gold, and browns, sprinkled with micro holo glitter in a clear base.

I layered one coat over this deep orange, with top coat. My accent nail is a stamp image (I think its from the new Bundle Monster set) that sort of looked like a maze, right? Corn Maze is a really pretty fall glitter and would look good over a ton of base colors. No issues to report.

There you have it! There are 8 total polishes in the Spooky Treats Collection so check out the links below to some fellow bloggers to get the scoop on the other half!

Red Dog Designs The Butterly Effect + Nail Art

Press Release

Good morning, readers! I am very excited to show you today's skittlette manicure. I was sent this gorgeous polish by Red Dog Designs called The Butterfly Effect and knew I'd have to do a full manicure with it and wear it for a few days!

The Butterfly Effect is a holo shimmer clear base glitter topper with pink, purple, and silver holo BUTTERFLY SHAPED GLITTER (!!) mixed with aqua, green, and purple hexes as well as some square iridescent blue glitters. It is absolutely gorgeous! It applied easily and I only had to fish out a few of the butterflies you can see in this mani because I was using a mini bottle. Below is two coats with top coat over a gradient of Milani Purple Martin and Fast Fuchsia.

My accent nails are a base of RBL Aqua Lily, outlined in Milani Purple Martin. I've done some simple butterfly nail art on those nails with Fast Fuchsia and Pure Ice Silver Star.

What do you think of this skittlette? I loved wearing it! It was my first mani with my newly rounded nails and I loved how the outlined nails looked with rounded tips!

This polish is not yet released by Red Dog Designs but it should be soon, so make sure you like the Red Dog Designs Facebook page below to get the latest info on new releases! Thanks for reading!

Red Dog Designs: The Mouse Collection!

Press Sample

Good afternoon, readers! We interrupt your regularly scheduled program of Digit-al Dozen September Spectacular to bring you a brand new, and adorable, collection launching from Red Dog Designs this afternoon!!

The Mouse Collection consists of 6 polishes, 3 of each Mickey and Minnie Mouse themed! I have all 6 to share with you today and some fun nail art to go with each polish!

Before we start, let me say a few things about the collection as a whole. Mickey head shaped glitters, as with any bigger glitter, are heavier and will sometimes stick to the sides of the bottles during shipment as well as hang out in the bottom half of the bottle. All it takes is an easy shake with the bottle upside down for a few seconds, as well as sometimes using a toothpick to scrape down the sides before application. Also, I was sent mini sample sized bottles to share with you so the number of coats may be less if you are using a full sized bottle with regular brush. Bigger bottles/brushes means that you will probably get more glitter than I did using the small brushes and bottles. I did place some of the bigger glitters.

Let's start with the Mickey Mouse side of the collection. I absolutely LOVE the names and how the glitters came together after seeing the inspirations.

Moustasia is "mouse shaped silver holo glitters, mixed with various sized hex glitters in red, blue, and silver, holo silver stars and moons, sprinkled with micro holo glitter in a dark blue jelly base. I'm showing three coats below with top coat. The inspiration behind this one is the movie, Fantasia, so I thought a wizard hat would be a good nail art accent with the Mickey head I painted.

M-I-C-K-E-Y is "mouse shaped silver holo glitters, mixed with various sized hex glitters in red, black,  white, and yellow, sprinked with micro holo glitter in a clear base." I am showing 2 coats below with top coat over Sinful Colors Cool Gray. I love how well this glitter captures every part of Mickey! I couldn't help but pair it with Mickey's adorable red shorts!

The final Mickey inspired polish is called Pop Art Mickey. It is described as "mouse shaped silver holo glitters, mixed with neon pink and neon green stars, and various sized hex and square glitters in neon pink, neon green, neon blue and red, sprinkled with micro holo glitter in a clear base." I've layered two coats over a plain black creme with top coat. I love how it made the neons pop and the holo glitter sparkle. I've paired it with some simple pop art inspired nail art as well in coordinating colors.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Onto the Minnie Mouse inspired polishes!

Minnie's Tulips is described as "mouse shaped silver holo glitters, mixed with various sized hex glitters in pink holo and rose copper, sprinkled with micro holo glitter in a clear base." I've layered two coats below with top coat over Illamasqua Nomad. There was a ton of glitter coming out on this one and I almost went with just one coat on each nail instead of two. Of course I did some tulips with Minnie for the accent nails.

Minnie's Bouquet is "mouse shaped silver holo glitters, mixed with a various 'bouquet' of girly shapes--flowers, butterflies, hearts, and stars, along with various sized hex, square, micro bar glitters in a mix of purple and silver shades -- matte, metallic, and even iridescent glitters, sprinkled with micro holo glitter in a clear base." This polish is packed with different shapes of glitters and I love it! I chose to layer 2 coats over Elevation polish Tavan Bogd with top coat for the pictures below. I even did my own version of a bouquet for the accent nail! (Although it seems in my late night photo session that I forgot to take a close up shot of the bouquet itself.)

The final polish of The Mouse Collection is called Minnie's Party Dress! It is described as "mouse shaped silver holo glitters, mixed with white dots and micro holo glitter in a hot pink jelly base." Both the dots and mickey shaped glitters are heavy in this polish so I recommend turning the bottle upside down before application like I said in the beginning of this post. I love how simple this polish is! I tried to do an accent nail of the pink and white polka dot dress that I've seen in pictures on Minnie! (I also can't find a close up shot of the dress nail either, so I guess I forgot LOL).

Well, there you have it! 6 fun new Mouse inspired glitters by Red Dog Designs for you! Guess what? These go live at 5pm EST TONIGHT! That's about an hour and a half from now. Made the post just in time, huh?

You can purchase any of these polishes in full sized bottles for $10 each at the Red Dog Designs Big Cartel Shop!
