Press Sample
Good morning, readers! I have a triple post for today: this week's GOT Polish Challenge, Digit-al Dozen Monochrome Day 4, and another review for Sticky Nails stencils! Are you ready? Did you see yesterday's post with a different Sticky Nails guide? Go check it out!
Today's mani was challenging for me. First, I knew I had to keep the polishes in the same color family. Second, I had to pick colors that were older than a year in my stash. Lastly, I wanted to show another shape of tape guide from Sticky Nails. So I ended up with zigzag stripes and a reciprocal gradient with Zoya Monica and Milani Violet Dash. I did a reciprocal gradient back during Tape Week with The Digit-al Dozen, and I loved it so much I wanted to try again. Globe & Nail has an awesome tutorial so check that out if you want to know where I got the idea and how to do it yourself!
To be honest, I don't love the thicker stripes as much as my thin striping tape ones from the last time I used this technique, but I think the zigzag of the stripes made it more fun anyway!
What do you think? I can't wait to show you some more looks I've created using these Sticky Nails stencils! They were pretty sticky, so I actually stuck them to my hand and then pulled up and pressed onto my nail so it removed some of the tackiness and had a lesser chance of pulling back up my base polish. They worked really well!
You can purchase this kit, and see the rest of the kits offered, at the Etsy Shop link below. This kit retails for $10 and has free US shipping!
**Sticky Nails is having a giveaway! When she gets to 100 Facebook Likes, she is giving away 2 prizes: each prize is a Sticky Nails guide kit of your choice and an OPI Gwen Stefani 4 mini polish set! Make sure to like the page link below!**

ReplyDeleteLove it. So cute! :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous job! And way to go getting three things in there! These are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore reciprocal gradients, AND adding in zigzags? This whole thing is off the hook!
ReplyDeleteAwesome; and great you were able to do a mani that had so many purposes!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome twist on the traditional reciprocal gradient! Great work :D
ReplyDeleteIncredible! You were able to create highlights and shadows with the technique and using the right colors. The only downside with this technique is peeling off the tape after doing a few coats of polish to create the gradient effect. The result is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe zig zags definitely make it - wouldn't have worked nearly as well with thick straight lines. Fab one!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this so much. And in my favourite colour!
ReplyDeletecute!
ReplyDeleteWow! How did you do the stripes in both parts?
