Mesa Sunrise Watercolor Gradient Nail Art!

Good afternoon, readers! I saw a really cool tutorial by The Nailasaurus this week for a "Watercolor Gradient" and I just had to try it! My color combo is a bit reminiscent of a mesa sunrise so after a friend pointed that out to me, I figured it was a great title! I just love how the minty teal colors blend together, but the added pop of coral really makes me love it! This technique is easy enough to do on every nail and would work with so many different color combinations.

Barielle Hand/Nail Care Product Review!

Press Sample

Let's talk hand and nail care for a minute! We all love having pretty polished nails, but we can't forget to take care of those hands and nails to keep them healthy. Moisturizing is my biggest tip as a fellow nail polish lover! When I was accepted to the blogger program with Barielle, I asked if I could review some hand care items and not just nail polish. For me, it's so important to take care of your nails and hands and not just cover them up. So here is a review of the three nail/hand care products I wanted to try out for you: 60 Second Mani-Pedi, Nail Strengthener Cream, and Intensive Hand Treatment Cream.

Swatch Saturday: Barielle Brilliant Colors Collection!

Press Sample

Good afternoon! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far! It's been busier than expected over here, so that's why this post is so late in the day. When Barielle asked me to join their blogging team, I was able to pick some things to try out and review for you guys. I'll have some more posts in the near future, but for now I will show you the Brilliant Colors Collection! This was last year's summer collection (but of course it is still available on their site!) and I love the bright colors. There are five fun cremes, and I can't wait to use them for some nail art soon!

Sea Lore's Triton's Daughters Collection: Ariel + Nail Art!

Good morning, readers! I have a super awesome collection to share with you over the next week! Have you heard of Sea Lore Polish? Jamie just released her Triton's Daughters Collection and let me tell you: I love them all! I don't usually say that about entire collections, but I mean it with this one! Also, I'm a huge Disney fan and loved The Little Mermaid growing up so when I heard about this collection, I was so excited!

They come in an awesome bottle shape, I have the mini size bottles and they aren't hard to hold for pictures or hard to get the glitter out of the bottle like happens sometimes with the normal shaped mini sized bottles. (I often give my mini bottles to my daughter, Hailey, for her growing polish collection, but I definitely plan to keep these in my collection because they aren't so tiny!)

All Sea Lore Polishes are 3-free(BIG plus for me!), Cruelty Free, and hand mixed! Jamie has super cute packaging as well! She wraps each bottle individually in bubble wrap, and then wraps the bundle of polishes in this pretty tissue paper cocoon. Hailey loved the stickers! Also, a business card with a nail polish ring attached(FREE with every purchase over $20!).

My package came with an Alana ring! My very first piece of nail polish jewelry!

Alana is gorgeous! I love the ring!

All 7 bottles. How CUTE are those labels?

A rainbow of gorgeous colors!

The first polish I'll be showing from the collection is the most well-known of Triton's Daughters: Ariel! It's the only multicolor glitter in the collection and it caught my eye before any of the others! Jamie describes Ariel as a "Bright turquoise jelly base with red squares, purples hexes, green glitter, and green shimmer." The shimmer is teeny flakes that were a nice hidden surprise! The base is tinted but I don't think it will change the base color very much if you aren't using it over a similar color like I am here.

You know how much I love bottle shots! Just gorgeous!

I had a lot of fun picking corresponding base colors for this collection and for Ariel I went with Barielle Do Unto Others!

I think they make a great combo!

I was inspired to do some nail art with Ariel as soon as I saw it! It's been too long since I've done any free hand art and am really happy with how she turned out! Her eyelashes are a bit bushy because the black went on too thick, but all in all I love it!

Can you believe that's just ONE coat of Sea Lore Ariel?

How gorgeous is this glitter? And those teeny flakes!

I used:
Base coat of Duri Rejuvacote
2 coats of Barielle Do Unto Others
1 coat of Sea Lore Ariel
1 coat of NYC quick dry top coat

Ariel:
OPI Bubble Bath(face)
OPI Wouldn't Shoe Like To Know? (facial outlines)
Milani Rapid Cherry(hair and lips)
OPI I'm Not Really a Waitress(hair accents)
Milani White on the Spot(teeth and eyes)
Milani Black Swift(eyes and eyelashes)
OPI No Room For The Blues (eyes)

What do you think of Sea Lore Ariel as well as my nail art? I am really loving this glitter, especially with the coordinating base color. I can't wait to try it over different colors as well. It was really easy to apply and with one coat of top coat, it was smooth to the touch. No curling or sharp glitters, thank goodness! I have a bad habit of picking off glitters that do that. Plus, Hailey loved my nails! Sounds like a win-win to me!

Sea Lore polishes can be purchased online here:

They come in full size 15ml bottles for $10 and mini size 7.5ml bottles for $5.50.

Don't forget to follow and "like" Sea Lore on Facebook and Twitter for more updates!

A huge thank you goes out to Jamie for providing the collection for me to share with you all! Stay tuned for the next week to see the rest of the Sea Lore Triton's Daughters Collection! Thanks for reading!

*This polish was sent for me to review with my honest opinion.

Color Club Pucci-licious Layering!

Good morning, readers! How are you today? Our day started out nicely when we walked outside to take nail pictures and realized it was only 63 degrees out(in Georgia!). We took a fun walk around the block to enjoy the weather :)

While on vacation this weekend, I was able to go into Ross and found 2 Color Club sets, Starry Temptress and Poptastic! I bought each for myself and a second set of them for my sister since she was there with me! I know, these are definitely not Fall colors, but at 7.99 each for 7 polishes, it is such a great deal and I can enjoy them all year long if I want to!! LOL

I wanted to try the purple from the Poptastic collection, Pucci-licious, and this is the mani I ended up with:
I used: Base coat of OPI Nail Envy
2 coats of Color Club Pucci-licious
1 coat of Barielle Buddha-ful
1 coat of OPI I Juggle...Men
Top coat of Poshe
I love how you can really see the tiny specks of shimmer from I Juggle...Men in this picture!!

So what do you think? I love it!! The Barielle flakies are such an amazing color against this purple, and the I Juggle...Men adds a little more :) Thanks for reading!

My First Barielles!

Happy Hump Day! It's story time morning for us at the library, can't wait! Hailey has such a good time there. We will both be sporting my new Barielle polishes that arrived in the mail yesterday. Do Unto Others and Buddha-ful. I love love love them!

Do Unto Others is a blue/green cream jelly according to their site and very pretty! It seemed a little thick to me and I had a bit of a hard time getting even coats. I may just add a bit of my thinner next time. Here is it on its own.

And here it is topped with Buddha-ful. On Barielle.com, it is described as "beige with soft baby pink/blue/light gray foil." I call it epicness. Totally in love with it and can't wait to try it layered over more colors!

Just totally gorgeous. Hailey wanted me to paint her nails the same, so here are a few pics. :)

They just happened to match the dress she had on today :) Too cute.

So what do you think? Thanks for reading! Hope you all have a great day!
