The Digit-al Dozen DOES Art: Fingerpaint Design!

Hello, readers! Well, it's the last day of Art week! This was a challenging week and I am looking forward to seeing what we all come up with for next month's challenge.

However, I am SO in love with my mani I am showing you today, so I guess I saved the best for last. Once again, I asked my wonderful husband for help picking a theme for today's art inspired mani. He is so good to me, and has the best ideas! He hopped on google images for a bit and we both saw this finger painting image and knew it would be really cool to do on nails!

It took some trial and error but once I figured out that doing a needle marble with jelly polishes instead of cremes worked so much better, it was amazing!! I was planning on only doing my swatching hand in this design and then trying out my new Zoya's from the recent promo, but after I saw how it was turning out, I had to do it as a full mani. I can't stop staring at my nails! Is it too early to pick my favorite nail art of the year? LOL

Here is how I did it:

Base Coat of Duri Rejuvacote
1 coat of Milani White on the Spot

One nail at a time:
1 coat of Essie Marshmallow
Random blobs on the nail of:
OPI Do You Think I'm Tex-y?
OPI Ya'll Come Back Ya Hear?
 Zoya Frida
 Nfu-oh JS13
Smallest dotting tool dragged through the color blobs to swirl them together
Poshe top coat

It was seriously so amazingly easy to do these nails! What do  you think? Here is a recap of the entire Art Week:

Nfu-Oh Jelly Syrup Mani!

Good  morning, readers! I finally got to try out the other 2 Nfu-Oh Jelly Syrup polishes I bought a little while back, and am wondering why on earth I waited this long? They are amazing! More opaque than JS29, and the pastel colors are great! I couldn't decide which to wear first so I did a mani with both!

Of course I had to do a jelly sandwich mani with them, and decided that Sea Lore Ariel would be great since it matched both jellies. I was not disappointed!

Awkward pose, but wanted to show my double accent nails.

The flakes in Ariel are such an awesome added bonus!

I used:
Duri Rejuvacote
2 coats of JS13 and JS16
1 coat of Sea Lore Ariel
1 coat of each JS13 and JS16
NYC Grand Central Station top coat

What do you think? I could have gotten away with 1 coat of the jellies, one coat of glitter, and one last coat of jelly and it would have been more apparent that they were jellies but I like how this turned out! The pastel jelly syrups give a cloudy look over the glitter and I like how different it is. I definitely want more Nfu-Oh Jelly Syrups now! Thanks for reading!

Nfu-Oh JS29 Double Decker Jelly Sandwich!

Good morning readers! I have a quick post to share with you today. I recently bought my first Nfu-Oh Jelly Syrup polishes and couldn't wait to try them out! This is the first one I've tried so far, JS29. It's supposed to be a "blurple" but honestly, it just looks blue to me when it's on. On white paper for a quick swatch it looked a bit "indigo" but not really on.

I tried a bunch of glitters on paper before I picked OPI Last Friday Night to sandwich in between the jelly layers. This is the first "double decker" jelly sandwich I've done and I think it looks like it could be a jelly polish with the glitters mixed in instead of different polishes layered together.

The JS29 was a slow dryer so I made sure to wait between layers and use a quick dry top coat on top so I didn't smudge it later on.

I used:
Duri Rejuvacote
2 coats of Nfu-Oh JS29
1 coat of OPI Last Friday Night
1 coat of Nfu-Oh JS29
1 coat of OPI Last Friday Night
1 coat of Nfu-Oh JS29
1 coat of NYC Grand Central Station quick dry top coat

What do you think of this layering combo? I usually prefer chunkier glitters in my jelly sandwiches so this was kind of boring to me when I wasn't looking at it up close. I loved the Nfu-Oh, though, even though the color wasn't what I was expecting and it took a bit longer to dry than I'm used to. Thanks for reading!
