Pretty & Polished Bridal Polishes!

Hello readers! I have more awesome polishes from Pretty & Polished to share with you today! These three are from the Bridal collection and I love them all! Too bad I wasn't into nail polish back when I got married 7 years ago, how fun!

They are: "Never a Bride, Always a Mermaid," "I Do!" and "Save The Date."

First up is Never a Bride, Always a Mermaid. It's a gorgeous full coverage glitter polish that really does remind me of mermaid tails! There are tiny glitters in both green and aqua as well as aqua hexes that seem to change color a bit at different angles. It was nearly opaque in 2 coats, but I did a third. Very easy to apply. Shown below with top coat.

I didn't want to take this beauty off!

Next up we have I Do! I'm not usually a big fan of white based polishes, or ones with hearts for that matter, but I was surprised at how much I liked this when it was on! It definitely needed 3 coats and because I have a mini bottle and brush, I had to work a bit to get some hearts out. There are different sized pink hexes in the white base as well as the pink hearts. The hearts are on the thicker side of shaped glitter, but one thick coat of top coat and there was no trouble with them sticking up. Trust me, the hearts were worth it to tip the bottle upside down before I applied. Shown below with 3 coats and top coat. Also easy to apply.

You can see that the heart is textured.

Lastly, we have a glitter topper called Save The Date. It has a few different sizes of white hex glitter as well as some pretty iridescent ones in a clear base. This is two coats over a light blue base color (going for the "something blue" look) . Definitely very "bridal" or snowy looking to me. It was very easy to apply without fussing with the glitters. The large hexes were easier to get on the brush than the previous heavier hearts. Shown with top coat.

Look at the pretty iridescent glitters showing their colors!

Well there you have the first three bridal polishes from Pretty & Polished! Chelsea told me she has some others in the works so look around for those in the future.

These are only available by custom order right now for $9 a full sized bottle. Please email Chelsea if you are interested in any at prettyandpolishedllc@gmail.com

She is also offering custom wedding polishes in your wedding colors for $10 each. You can contact Chelsea at the same email above if you'd like to have that done as well!

Pretty & Polished Breast Cancer Awareness Duo!

Good morning, readers! I have a really gorgeous duo polish set to show you today from Pretty & Polished! It's for Breast Cancer Awareness and is made up of a shimmer and a glitter topper. The best part of this duo is that its being sold to raise money for a non-profit organization, as well as raise awareness for breast cancer!

Chelsea of Pretty & Polished is donating all profits from these duo sets to Little Red Door of Delaware County. It was this non-profit organization that was able to get her a test within days of finding a lump in her breast when she had no insurance. Thankfully, everything was okay with Chelsea, but this is a cause very near and dear to her heart because she has lost a couple of people to it.

Some bottle shots:

First, I'm going to show you the base color, You Are Beautiful, on it's own. It took 3 coats to full opaqueness and it is full of gorgeous shimmer! It was very easy to apply and I had no clean up! Shown without top coat.

You can see in this macro that there are teeny bits of darker pink as well as a gorgeous shimmer throughout!

And here is the duo together! One coat of BCA over the previous 3 coats of You Are Beautiful. BCA has 2 different sizes of pink holo hexes, as well as teeny purple glitters. Gorgeous topper! I used one coat of top coat and the glitter was smooth to the touch!

I love these two together!

A shot under the lamp to show some of the holo glitters!

The sets will be available at $20 for a full size set and $10 for a mini set, with all profits going to the non-profit organization Little Red Door of Delaware County. It's Chelsea's way of showing appreciation to them after being her support and help.

Also, Chelsea is opening their office/shop to the public tomorrow and will be accepting donations and giving the duos out in exchange for donations on LRD's behalf through October! Because her family has a history with many kinds of cancer, she does what she can for non profit organizations like LRD because they are the ones making a difference in our everyday lives.

Chelsea is opening up her Etsy shop tonight at 8 pm EST. She will have a limited amount of the Breast Cancer Awareness Duo as well as the Fall Collection, Halloween Collection, Color Changing polishes, and several polishes from her regular line.

What do you think of this gorgeous duo? I love it and really appreciate that Chelsea is donating profits to a non-profit organization for this cause. I hope you will all consider buying a set! Thanks for reading!

I'm Back With Pretty & Polished Sand Art!

Hello readers! I am back from my vacation and had a wonderful time! Thank you for the well wishes on my last blog post and my facebook page. I am glad to be back to blogging for you, though.

I took some pics of various manis that I did over the week that I will be showing you soon, but this had to come first. When I came home from being away for a week, I had a ton of nail mail! No spoilers yet on what I received but this was one of them and I had to try it right away.

Pretty & Polished Sand Art looks awesome over black! It is teeny matte glitters in pink, purple, blue, and green with a clear base. It was pretty dense, and I was happy with how many glitters came out in just one coat. This is 2 coats below over Milani Black Swift.

How cool is the close up?

I used:
Orly Nail Defense
2 coats of Milani Black Swift
2 coats of Pretty & Polished Sand Art
1 coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast

I am really loving these matte glitters lately from the indie polish makers, and this is no exception! It definitely reminds me of the colored sand used in sand art! I bought this from Chelsea's Etsy Store during one of the last openings. Her shop is closed now but you can sign up for email updates on when she opens again, and also check out her blog and facebook page for up to date news on how you can get this beauty and others!

What do you think? Thanks for reading!

Pretty and Polished Polish Reviews!

Hello readers! I have an exciting post for you today! My friend, Chelsea, from the blog  Pretty and Polished , started selling her nail polishes on Etsy! I have 2 of her polishes to review and share with you all! You can find her Etsy store here with tons of gorgeous polishes! She offers full size and mini versions of her polishes.

She sent me Forest Phire and Born Again to show to you all! These are both the mini sized bottles.

Look at those beauties in the bottle!!

I'm going to show you Forest Phire first! It is described online as "a decadent green Jjelly packed with richly colored glitters. Looks like an enchanted forest full of Sapphires." This is 3 coats with 1 coat of Poshe top coat:
In the sunlight.

In the shade. You can see the glitter a bit easier in this shot.

Macro! Love it, check out those gorgeous glitters!!

Because I could still see my nail under 3 coats, I decided to try a layering look with Forest Phire and LOVE how it turned out. This is one coat over butterLONDON's British Racing Green. Also, one coat of Poshe top coat.

You can see it better in this macro shot. This is a great way to conserve Forest Phire as well! So pretty!

Onto the other polish: Born Again! This is described online as "an entrancing navy blue jelly base filled with blue, purple, black, and silver glitter. This polish is sure to make you feel alive!" I can't get enough of the shimmer in the jelly base! Love love love! This is 3 coats and 1 coat of Poshe top coat.

So pretty!!

What do you think of these 2 gorgeous polishes from Pretty and Polished?? I really like them and am so glad I was able to share them with you all! Head on over to Chelsea's Etsy shop to see what others she has available as well! Thanks for reading!
