Birthday Nails: Skittlette!
Hello, readers! Today is my 27th birthday! It took me the longest time to just decide on a mani to wear today but I am happy with these! I decided to go with some of my favorite things: teal, purple, gradient, Lynnderella Mermaid Magic, skittlette, and texture!

My Weekend Mani: Purple Gradient with Mermaid Magic!
Good morning, readers! I don't have any swatches for today (it would normally be Swatch Saturday) but instead I am going to show you what's on my nails for the weekend! I guess its a NOTD post (Nails of the Day) or maybe I can call it NOTW (Nails of the Weekend) post? Anywho, here we go!

Fairy Princess Glitter Layering!
Hello, readers! You may have seen a sneak peek of this mani a few weeks ago during a Tutorial Tuesday post where my thumb nail was photo-bombing the picture of the nail art tools. If not, that's ok because I'm showing you now!

Lynnderella Mermaid Magic: I'm In Love!!!
Good morning, readers! Today's post is an exciting one! I have a very pretty polish that I had been wanting for a while, a Limited Edition Lynnderella polish-- Mermaid Magic! I am so happy I was able to get this, it's everything I wished it could be and more! You can only win it in auctions on ebay and it goes for a good amount of money. There is one bottle left in the ebay store and it's listed as the LAST bottle, so bid if you want it before its gone!
It's a gorgeous mix of purple and teal glitters in a clear base with gorgeous shimmer. I tried it over a few different colors on a nail wheel and couldn't pick a favorite so I did a gradient of my top 2 favorites: Elevation Polish El Cap and Owen. I think I could wear this mani over and over again, and I love it for a pedicure as well!
The gradient effect is subtle under the shimmers and glitter in Mermaid Magic, you have to really look back and forth between the tips and the cuticle to notice the different colors. I love how it turned out, though, so sparkly and absolutely a magical mermaid mani!
Isn't it such a pretty polish? I love it and it's definitely a prize in my collection. Thanks for reading!

Embossing Powder Skittlette Design!
Hello, readers! I have a crazy skittlette manicure to share with you today. A while back, after reading this post on The PolishAholic, I grabbed some different colors of embossing powder from Michaels craft store. I loved using striping tape and textured polishes together and wondered if I could do the same with embossing powder.
For the triangle nails, I was inspired by Manicurity's design HERE. My triangles are bigger but the same kind of geometric idea. Here is how I got the look:
Unfortunately, this didn't keep its color for long. Numerous hand washings, baby baths, and my own shower in the first 18 hours of wear washed off the top layers and color from the layer that stayed on the nail.
For the triangle nails, I was inspired by Manicurity's design HERE. My triangles are bigger but the same kind of geometric idea. Here is how I got the look:
- Paint three coats of China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise.
- One coat of HK Girl top coat to dry it.
- Layer striping tape across the nail.
- Paint a thicker coat of China Glaze Grape Pop over the entire nail.
- Sprinkle a ton of embossing powder over the wet polish.
- Gently pat and press the powder down all over the nail.
- While the polish is still wet, gently peel the striping tape off in reverse order of how you applied it.
- Let dry!
- Gently use a soft brush to brush off the excess from the nail and skin surfaces.
I applied it just as I did flocking powder in this tutorial.
I did my other nails in China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise and Grape Pop with a layer of Lynnderella Love Potion No.99.
What do you think of this look? I liked trying it but can see myself reaching for textured polishes from now on instead of the embossing powder. At least those won't lose color. Thanks for reading!

Mish Mash Skittlette Mani!
Good morning, readers! I have a fun look to share with you that I wore a little while back but didn't make it on the blog yet. You may have seen me preview it on Instagram if you follow me there. I wanted to try out Nerd Lacquer Cyance Friction and came up with this fun "skittlette" of sorts that required no nail art.
I learned a few things from this mani:
1) Nerd Lacquer Cyance Friction is AMAZING. I love everything about this and want to swim in it.
2) OPI You Dont Know Jacques Suede is a stainer. Like, through my layer of Rejuvacote stainer. In a mani that uses a bright teal, nude, and a taupe, you wouldn't think that the taupe would be the stainer. :(
3) I totally love using mulitple colors in a manicure like this! It may be too wild for some, but not for me. I got to use more than one untried polish from my stash and loved looking at my nails all day!
Thumb and middle finger: 2 coats of Nerd Lacquer Cyance Friction.
Index and pinky: 2 coats of OPI YDKJ Suede and 1.5 coats of Lynnderella A Neutral Party.
Ring finger: 2 coats of Zoya Godiva.

Strawberry Jelly Sandwich!
Good morning, readers! Today's post is more of a NOTD (nails of the day) look that I wore a little while ago. Jelly sandwich manis are so super easy and I can't get enough of them. If you are unfamiliar with the term, jelly sandwich manis are where you sandwich a layer of glitter between the layers of a jelly polish. I usually do 1-2 coats of the jelly polish, one coat of glitter, and one coat of the jelly polish again on top with top coat. The glitter is almost "suspended" in the jelly polish. The combinations are endless and I always love how they turn out!
I recently purchased a couple new polishes from The Nail Junkie and this was one of the new neon jellies I just had to have. It's called Strawberry (how fitting for a jelly sandwich) and is a super bright and fun pink! It has holographic shimmer that really sets it apart from the plain jellies in my collection!
I'm showing 2 coats of Strawberry, one coat of Lynnderella Sugared Violet, and one more coat of Nail Junkie Strawberry on top with top coat.

Mommy's NOTD: Elevation Polish Ave Secretan and Lynnderella Her Name is Petal
Hello, readers! It's time for another Nails Of The Day post! I chose to layer two of my newer, untried indie polishes and I love them together! I've been wearing a lot of Elevation Polishes paired with Lynderellas lately. It may be because their bottles sit side by side in my "indie polish drawer" and the bottles are the same shape.
Elevation Polish Ave Secretan is "a beautiful punch pink/red crème with an incredibly high shine finish." It's almost a crelly with how it applied! I love this color so much that I almost didn't layer anything over it!
Lynnderella Her Name is Petal is "a multi-glitter with assorted neon, pastel satin and matte glitters in a multi-shimmer clear base." I love the shimmer as well as the different shaped glitters!
This is two coats of Elevation Polish Ave Secretan and one coat of Lynnderella Her Name is Petal, topped with one coat of thicker top coat to seal in the bigger glitters:

Digit-al Dozen DOES Bling Day 1: Reverse Glitter Gradient!
Hello, readers! It's time for another Digit-al Dozen week! This month's theme is Bling and it's so broad that I am having trouble with it. Today's post is a simple reverse glitter gradient but I loved these nails so much that I've been wearing them since Friday!
I bought my first Dior nail polish and it is gorgeous! St Tropez is such a "Jacki color" and I am so happy I was able to get my hands on it since it's harder to find now. I did 2 coats of Dior St Tropez and then dabbed Lynnderella Magic Fairy Stars from the cuticle toward the tip using a triangle makeup sponge. I have a thicker gel-like top coat followed by Cult Nails Wicked Fast to seal in all of the glitter but the thicker top coat caused the bubbles you see in the macro. :(

Mommy's NOTD: Fun, Spring Nails!
Good morning, readers! Today, I have what's currently on my nails and I am really loving them! I recently bought some new Lynnderella glitter polishes and this is my first look using one of them.
Lynnderella Candy Blossom is from the new Everything's Coming Up Neon collection and it was one of my favorites based on her swatches. I am so happy that this is one that I bought, because I love it so much! The assortment of glitters, some satin, some neon, some matte, along with a gorgeous shimmer make this a super fun glitter that stands out in my collection.
I chose to do a gradient base for Candy Blossom so the different glitter colors would pop more!

Duri Rejuvacote
1 coat of Orly Lemonade
Orly Lemonade and OPI That's Hot! Pink with a makeup sponge for the gradient
1-2 coats of Lynnderella Candy Blossom
1 coat of NYC top coat
What do you think of this fun spring look? I do want to add that once my thin top coat dried, some of the bigger shaped glitters were catching on my clothes/hair so I would recommend a thicker top coat and/or a glitter taming top coat to seal those in.
You can purchase Lynnderella polishes on ebay for $23: http://lynnderella.com
You can also bid on Limited Edition polishes as well.

Squishy Teal Goodness!
Hello readers! I have a jelly sandwich mani to show you today that I'm in love with! I've had it on for 4 days now and don't want to take it off!(But, I do have some chips from my cleaning spree so I must change it this afternoon if I am able to find the time).
I primarily ordered Zoya Frida on Copious because I wanted to do some jelly sandwiches with it and am so glad I did! I chose to try out Lynnderella Thank Blue! as the glitter layer and love that its also teal. The glitters seemed to glow and shimmer from within the jelly layers and really made it gorgeous! I wish you could see the holographic glitters better in my swatches because in person it's even better!

Saint George Gets An Attitude Adjust-Mint!
Good morning, readers!! I have another Lynnderella to show you today, but instead of just showing a swatch, I added some nail art that I am LOVING!
Ever since I saw this mani from The Nailasaurus in the Cult Nails contest, I knew I wanted to try it one day. Well, today ended up being the day and I can't stop looking at my nails! It's so simple and yet one of my favorite stamping manis to date.
First, let's see the subtle beauty that is Lynnderella Attitude Adjust-mint. This is 2 coats over 2 coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mint Sorbet. I really love the shimmer in this polish. You may need to enlarge the picture to see the shimmer on them.

I mentioned a few days ago that I had some nice nail mail waiting for me when I got back from vacation. Now I can show you!
First up, she lovely Sheila at Pointless Cafe was so sweet and sent these OPI sorbets[Big Hair...Big Nails and Houston We Have A Purple] my way(and included some of my favorite Julep scrub)! I was wanting more to add to my Do You Think I'm Tex-y that I already have and love for jelly sandwiches. THANK YOU, Sheila, for being so kind!!
Next up, another sweet lady I've met through the nail polish world, Ana, offered to order Lynnderella Attitude Adjust-Mint for me! She even threw in this NYC quick dry top coat! I've wanted to try it, so THANK YOU SO MUCH, ANA!
I was able to snag these Haze Glaze polishes from Hazel's spring line and love them! They are both LE and I'll be showing them to you tomorrow! Flutter has butterfly glitters in it!!
I ordered Zoya Arizona from Bloom.com. It's my first of the Beach collection and I can't wait to try it!

Rory Gets Razzle Dazzled By Love Potion No. 99!
Good morning, readers! I have another mani to show you from vacation last week! This was my favorite that I did! As I was lining up the bottles that I chose to bring on vacation(the Zoya Surf collection and my indies) I realized that Zoya Rory looked great next to Girly Bits Razzle Dazzle! It's a perfect base color to not have to use 3 coats of Razzle Dazzle so it will last longer! Because I couldn't just leave it at that, I decided to try some gradient tips of Lynnderella Love Potion No. 99! I love how this turned out. The Razzle Dazzle has some purple glitters in it if you see it in the light so it pulled the two colors together nicely.
You can see the purple in Razzle Dazzle in this macro!
I used:
Orly Nail Defense
2 coats of Zoya Rory
1 coat of Girly Bits Razzle Dazzle
Ripped up makeup sponge and Lynnderella Love Potion No.99 for the gradient tips
2 coats of Cult Nails Wicked Fast
I really love how this turned out! The slight purple pigment in the Lynnderella added more than just glitter to the tips so I was really happy with that! I honestly think that Love Potion No. 99 may be my very favorite of the handful of Lynnderellas that I have! What do you think? Thanks for reading!

Happy Mother's Day!!
Good morning, readers, and Happy Mother's Day to the mothers out there! I'm dedicating this post to my wonderful Mom, Jill! She is such an amazing and supportive mother and I couldn't be luckier to have her. I hope I am like her with my own children.
While on vacation last week, I got to paint her nails and I had to show you the result! I think she picked a great combo! This is Alter Ego Penny Pincher with Lynnderella Boy Girl Party for the gradient tips. It was so festive and we both really liked how it turned out!
