Sonoma Nail Art My Three Glitters!

Hello readers! I recently bought my first multi-shaped black and white glitter on Copious and can honestly say I really get what the hype is all about finally! I guess looking at pictures of other nails wasn't good enough until I got to try it out for myself.

Sonoma Nail Art My Three Glitters is a super awesome mix of black and white bars, squares, rhombuses, and different size hexes. It applied easily and I only had to fuss with the bar glitter so it wouldn't hang off the edge of the nail. I chose to do 2 coats for more even coverage and love how it turned out!

I hadn't yet been able to try out my new Zoya Wednesday and Reagan I got over a month ago in a swap so those were the base colors I used. I really love the two of them together!

2 coats of each Zoya Wednesday and Reagan

2 coats of Sonoma Nail Art My Three Glitters

2 coats of NYC Grand Central Station top coat

What do you think? I did 2 coats of top coat for good measure because some of the bars stuck out a bit with my rounded nails and then they were smooth to the touch. I really love the simplicity of this mani and have been wearing it all weekend. Thanks for reading!

Whale Nails 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea!

Hello readers! I have another Sonoma Nail Art polish to showcase today! This one is 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and super gorgeous! My friend Kim at The Ides Of Polish recently wore it with a base color of Manglaze ILF and I loved the combo! So, I went diving into my stash trying to find anything similar to the Manglaze. I chose Zoya Zuza and I love how they looked together! And, because it was a sea themed glitter polish, I wanted to do a little bit of nail art on an accent nail for fun.

Orly Nail Defense

1 coat of OPI Bubble Bath(trying to avoid the awful staining from Zoya Zuza I got last time)

2 coats of Zoya Zuza

2 coats of Sonoma Nail Art 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea

Cult Nails Wicked Fast

Whale Accent:

Milani Beach Front and a striper brush

Milani Black Swift

Milani White On The Spot and 2 dotting tools

What do you think? I was originally planning a whale on each finger but decided that I didn't want to cover up the gorgeous 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea that much so went with one whale. I think it works.

Sonoma Sunset!

Hello readers! I finally took off my 4th of July nails this morning(5 days later!) and decided to try out a pretty purple combo. I bought OPI Planks a Lot during Casandra from The Mani-louges blog sale a while back and hadn't tried it out yet. It seemed like a nice base color for the different glitters in Sonoma Sunset and I love how they turned out together!

The blue shimmer in the clear base of Sonoma Sunset is my favorite part--I had no idea it was there until I wore it for the first time!

1 coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast

What do you think of this combo? I love all of the different colored/shaped glitters in Sonoma Sunset!! This is definitely a favorite of my indie polish stash.

MASH Matte Top Coat Swatch and Review!

Hello readers! I have an exciting new review for you today! MASH just released a matte top coat and I received it in the mail today!

If you are unfamiliar with matte top coats, I'll explain a bit. It's a clear top coat that can be applied over any polish to take away the shine and make it look like a matte polish! Instead of buying a ton of matte polishes, you can always get a matte top coat and make any polish look matte!

My favorite thing to apply a matte top coat over is glitter! That's what I decided to do for today's post. I have done 2 fingers with a shiny top coat and 2 fingers with this MASH Matte Top Coat so you can see the difference!

Index and Ring fingers have a normal shiny top coat. Middle and Pinky nails have the MASH Matte Top Coat.

2 coats of Milani Black Swift

1 coat of Sonoma Nail Art Sonoma Sunset

1 coat of MASH Matte Top Coat or 1 coat of NYC Quick Dry Top Coat

As you can see, using a matte top coat gives a neat look to an already gorgeous mani! I love how it adds versatility!

The MASH Matte Top Coat applied so easily and dried quickly to a nice matte finish! It's not so thick that it makes your mani look cloudy, which is a big plus in my book! I've had that issue with other matte top coats before. It comes in a 0.50 fl oz bottle and is 3-free. You can get your own from the MASH Nails website here. It retails for $7.99 USD.
