Hello, readers! Have you heard of The Lacquer Legion? It's a monthly nail art challenge to connect the nail polish community and I am so excited I was able to find the time to join in for this month's theme! You can go check out The Lacquer Legion on Facebook for some more info. This month's theme was "Reinvention" and it took me a bit to decide what to do for that. It was so broad that it was troubling me but as soon as I asked the hubby, he told me Steampunk would be great because a big part of it is taking things and reinventing them.
I was really excited because I haven't done steampunk nails before and I had to figure out what aspect I wanted to bring to the nail art. Gears and clockwork are what I instantly thought of, as well as those neat blimp-looking air ships. I decided to go with a sketch of an "airship" for my accent nail and various gears on the other nails.

Girly Bird Cage Skittlette!
Press Sample
Good morning, readers! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had a lot of fun family time and got our Christmas tree decorated so I'm a happy girl!
Today's post is a girly skittlette using the same Messy Mansion stamping plate MM14 that I've been showing the past week or so. This time, I went with lilac, silver, and glitter!

Shimmer Polish Jacki, Kelly, and Alessandra Swatches!
Hi, Happy Sunday! I have three Shimmer Polishes to show you today. The exciting part? One is called Jacki--that's me! Pretty exciting to have my name on a bottle of polish!
We will start out with my namesake. Jacki is a mixture of purple and blue glitters, with a few extra colors in smaller quantities. I'm showing three coats with Shimmer Glass top coat. There are no application issues to report.

My next favorite is Kelly. It is a green and gold mixture of glitter and gorgeous! I'm showing 3 coats with Shimmer Glass top coat below. It applied easily.
Lastly, we have Alessandra. It is a red glitter mixture and I am again showing 3 coats with Shimmer Glass top coat. This seems very holiday-themed to me.
Well, there you have them! What do you think of these three Shimmer Polishes? Which is your favorite?
Each bottle retails for $12 and you can even order a custom polish for $15! You can find that listing HERE in Cindy's Etsy Shop.

Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle Comparison Post!
Hello readers! My post is super late for the day because it has been a crazy one! I've had these pictures since I took them this morning but this is the first time I've had to sit at the computer and write up for you.
In my previous post, I mentioned that I thought Shimmer Marilyn was similar, yet more red toned, to Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle. I got to swatch them side by side and I was right! Both needed 3 coats and a good top coat because they dried gritty. Both have the glowy glitter but the tones are different.

Which color do you prefer? Thanks for reading!

Saturday Shimmer Spam!
Hello readers! I have the other 8 Shimmer polishes as promised to show you today!
Carol is a copper/gold, blue, and black glitter polish. Not really my favorite Shimmer color combo but I bet this would look better over the right base color. I'm showing three coats alone below with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Katherine is a bronze sandstone macro glitter polish. I love this one, it's great for fall! This is three coats below with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Lorene is one that surprised me when I put it on! It's a raspberry jelly base with lots of different colored glitters. I'm only showing 2 coats below with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Marilyn is another beauty! It's a burgundy jelly base with red microglitters. It really glows from within and once I applied three coats, I realized it seemed like a redder version of Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle. I think I'll do a comparison for you for the next post! Three coats with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Rochelle is a red and gold glitter polish. It is gorgeous for the holiday season! I can't wait to try it in some Christmas themed manis! I'm only showing 2 coats below with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Tiffany is a mix of pink and blue glitter. The pink is more of a "rose gold" shade. Interesting color combo. I'm showing two coats with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Wendy is a mix of purple, copper, and teal glitter. Very cool color combo! I'm digging it! This is three coats with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Vicki is a really pretty and feminine pink and silver glitter mix. It makes me feel like a fairy princess! I'm showing three coats with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
What do you think of these 8 Shimmers? Which are your favorites and least favorites? If you've missed them, here are my other posts on Shimmer polishes:

MORE Shimmer Polish Swatches!
Good morning, readers! Cindy from Shimmer Polish recently sent me an epic package with 17 more glitters to share with you! This is a spam post of 9 of them! Hope you enjoy!
Adrienne is a mixture of blue and gold glitters! There seems to be a tiny bit of other colored glitters thrown in as well! This is 3 coats on it's own, with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.

Brooklyn is next! It's mainly teal and bigger gold glitters, with smaller blue and purple glitters mixed in! I loved this one on so much more than I expected! It is more complex than my first look at the bottle and it's a really gorgeous color combo! Shown as 3 coats on it's own with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Onto Cristina. She's described as a "deep forest green with a hint of red and fuchsia." This is a little different than most Shimmer polishes because its mostly small glitters of the same size. This is 3 coats with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Erica is described as "crystal peridot glitter." This is such a pretty combination of colored glitters and I love it! It would look great over a green base! Shown below as 3 coats alone with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Julia makes me think of Cinderella's dress. Icy blue with holo glitter mixed in, so pretty! Shown as three coats alone with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat. Another favorite of mine!
Kim is one of my favorites of this bunch! It's a gorgeous mix of blue and purple glitter! Shown as three coats alone with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
SOO PRETTY!
Leslie is similar to Kim, but it has a more periwinkle tone with the lavender glitters instead of the deeper purples in Kim. This one was less dense than the others in this group. Three coats alone with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
Strength is a charity polish and donations are made from each purchase to support PCOS. It's a gorgeous teal and silver glitter with big silver hearts mixed in. The silver hearts are the thickest heart glitter I have come across and therefore stick off the nail much more than I'm used to. This is the most dense of the set, shown below as only 2 coats with one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat over.
Lastly, we have Taylor. This is an interesting combo. It's a reddish purple tinted jelly base with greens, reds, blacks, and blurple colored small glitters. Shown with 3 coats and one coat of Shimmer Glass top coat.
