Maya Cosmetics: Vintage and Parrot Trooper Swatches!

Hello readers! It's the final day of Maya Cosmetics polishes. I hope you have enjoyed the past few days! I am such a fan of Maya Cosmetics and love when Kat comes out with new polishes! Our final two polishes don't have anything in common, but they certainly are pretty!

Vintage and Parrot Trooper

Let's start out with Vintage. First things first, this is only ONE COAT you are seeing below. I can't tell you how happy it makes me when I only need one coat of a polish. I've heard that you can stamp with it as well, so you know I will be trying that in the future. Also, it is another scattered holo that my camera doesn't want to share with you (greedy camera, keeping the prettiness all to itself). "Faded plum with silver shimmer and subtle scattered holo." I love this, showing one coat with no top coat below.

Lastly, we end our Maya Cosmetics marathon with the polish I wore as a full mani after swatching: Parrot Trooper. The name made me giggle when I opened the package and the shimmer is so lovely! It is less red and has a hint of pastel in real life, but I wasn't able to show the true color in my photos. "Bright coral orange with gold, purple, and light green shimmer flakes" I'm showing two coats below with top coat. LOVE!

So what are your thoughts on this pair of Maya Cosmetics polishes? They retail for $9.50/bottle and you can buy them at the store link below! Thank you so much for joining in 4 days of Maya Cosmetics!

Maya Cosmetics: Daydreaming and Cupcake Violent Swatches!

Hello, readers! Are you enjoying this 4 days of Maya Cosmetics? Today is Day 3 and I have 2 glitter polishes for you! They don't need base colors and are great for spring!

Daydreaming and Cupcake Violent

We will start with Daydreaming. The shimmer in this one was a surprise to me and made me love the polish so much more! "Sheer sky blue base with blue shimmer and white, teal, purple, and pink satin glitter." I'm showing 2 easy coats below with top coat. No issues to report and I love the combo of glitter colors with this base.

Moving on to Cupcake Violent. This base has a scattered holo but I could not seem to capture it for you in my lightbox or kitchen lighting outside of the lightbox. "Lavender base with holo micro glitter, silver glitter, scattered holo pigment, and violet shimmer." I'm showing two coats below with top coat. This applied so wonderfully!

So what are your thoughts on this pair of Maya Cosmetics polishes? They retail for $9.50/bottle and you can buy them at the store link below! Don't forget to come back tomorrow to see two more!

Maya Cosmetics: Sanctuary and Wyoming Skies Swatches!

Hello, readers! It's part 2 of our 4 day Maya Cosmetics review! Today, I have a pairing that was created by two fellow nail bloggers and Kat and they look so great together! I am so happy to have them!

Sanctuary by Cosmetic Sanctuary and Wyoming Skies by Set In Lacquer.

Sanctuary is a, "Soft aqua blue with aqua and silver shimmer." I'm showing two easy coats with no top coat below. Gorgeous, another winning shimmer from Maya Cosmetics.

The glitter topper of this duo is called Wyoming Skies. "Blue, caramel, and warm pink glitter in a clear base." This is a gorgeous combination of glitters and I'm showing one coat below with top coat. Very pretty combo!

Look at that glitter combination in the macro!

What a great pair!

Maya Cosmetics: Demeure and Once in a Lullaby Swatches!

Hello, readers! I have 4 posts lined up this week for you featuring 8 new Maya Cosmetics polishes! Are you excited? Kat recently released 21 new polishes and was sweet enough to send 8 my way to share with you! I've decided to break them up into 4 posts with 2 polishes in each as to not overwhelm you.

Let me just tell you, I love them all! Kat has a special ability when it comes to making polish, especially when it comes to shimmers. I can't seem to get enough Maya Cosmetics shimmers and am so glad to have more to show you this time around.

Today's post features a nude shimmer and a rainbow sparkling glitter topper that I think make an unexpectedly fun pairing!

Demeure and Once in a Lullaby

Let's start with this very pretty, shimmery nude. Demeure is described by Kat as, "sheer warm pink with copper shimmer." I'm showing three coats below with no top coat. I can still see visible nail line but I didn't mind it because it made it more delicate in my opinion. And the shimmer is so pretty!

Next, we have a rainbow in a bottle! Once in a Lullaby is described by Kat as, "rainbow satin glitter and micro holo glitter in a clear base." This was very easy to work with and was really packed with rainbow glitter! I'm only showing one coat below over Demeure. I love the name!

Also, I wanted to note: The day I received these Maya Cosmetics polishes, Hailey(almost 5 years old) asked if we could do Once in a Lullaby on her nails over a pink. Here is her picture that she really wanted me to share with you all:

She has been working on her bottle holding picture pose!

Thumbs Up For Epilepsy Awareness!

Hello readers! Today, I have a special manicure to share with you that I made for today: Purple Day. It's Epilepsy Awareness Day and Becca from NailNarcotics asked if I wanted to join her in making a post. She's done purple nails/purple thumbs all month so go check out her blog and see her posts and pretty manis! She has some facts and also some personal stories she has shared with us about her experience living with Epilepsy.

I chose to use my new China Glaze Ombre Grape Expectations nail kit for my accent ring finger and thumb nails contrasted with the Nails Inc Leather Effect in Noho on the rest of my nails. I wanted the purple to stand out and be the focus of this manicure.

The kit comes with 4 purples, from light to dark, for the perfect gradient! It also comes with sponges but I haven't tried them yet. I used my go-to triangle makeup sponge instead. The colors in the kit are: Sweet Hook, Spontaneous, Grape Pop, and Crimson.

I also have decided that I love the Nails Inc Leather! The texture was more subdued compared to the OPI Liquid Sands, Zoya Pixie Dusts, and Julie G Gumdrop textured polishes I've already tried.

I used:
Duri Rejuvacote
2 coats of Nails Inc Noho Leather Effect

Accent Nails:
1 coat of China Glaze Sweet Hook
Makeup Sponge and gradient with:
China Glaze Sweet Hook, Spontaneous, Grape Pop, and Crimson
1 coat of Poshe

What do you think? I love how this turned out, but was even happier to wear this for Epilepsy Awareness Day. Thank you so much to Becca for inviting me to join in! Thanks for reading!

Mommy's NOTD: Nerd Lacquer All Of Time And Space!

Hello readers! I wanted to show you what I've been wearing for the past few days! I was so happy to see that Amanda from Nerd Lacquer decided to start selling her gorgeous polishes again because I was totally late to the NL boat and found out about them a little too late. The one I've wanted the most was All of Time and Space and I was lucky enough to buy it in her first restock!

So gorgeous! I tried this one on it's own but decided I would like it better with undies and went with Zoya Bevin. It was almost a perfect match to the base color of AOTAS with the bottles side by side and I like it much more layered. The color combination of base and glitters is so gorgeous.

Super easy to apply, and my little sister, Chloe, just came over a recreated my look(but with Zoya Wednesday, just a tad brighter) because she loved AOTAS so much on my nails. I'd say it's a winner!

"ALL OF TIME AND SPACE is a semi-sheer crystalline minty turquoise with silver shimmer, plus silver and fuchsia glitter."

I used:
Duri Rejuvacote
1 coat of Zoya Bevin
2 coats of Nerd Lacquer All of Time and Space
1 coat of Poshe

What do you think? I love it! Below are some Nerd Lacquer Links, check them out for updates on the next opening!  Thanks for reading!

Naild'it Spring Has Sprung Swatch Spam!

Good morning, readers! I hope you are ready for a ton of pictures of 10, yes TEN, of the new Naild'it Spring Has Sprung polishes. I apologize if this is too many to take in at once, but life is crazy around here so I wanted to get them all up instead of making you wait for them even longer.

Before I start, I'll say a bit about all of the polishes together. Besides the 2 glitter toppers, these all needed 2-3 coats depending on how thick your coats are. I've shown them all with one coat of NYC Grand Central Station quick drying top coat. It's a thinner quick dry, and you may prefer a thicker top coat or even a glitter taming top coat for some of the bigger shapes. As always, I love the color and glitter combinations from Andrea!

I'll start with my favorite of the collection, Spring Fling! "White crelly base with spring bursting out, includes pink flowers in a splattering of springy glitter hues." There are also moon and butterfly glitters!

I love the shimmer in the base!

The other white based polish is called Sir Round Sound. "This is a white crelly with round glitters in fuschia, blue, yellow/goldish, pink, black(big) and silver holo (big) with a splattering of larger and smaller glitters (hexes, squares...)!

This is my second favorite of the collection, it's called Aurora's Grape Escape. "Vivid grape jelly/holographic with a hint of color shifting iridescent glitters and chunky holo purple squares." I just love this polish so much, the color shifting glitters are so pretty!

Look at those gorgeous glitters!

There is a second purple based glitter polish in this collection, although it is very different from Aurora's Grape Escape. This one is called Bad Hare Day. It's a purple shimmery jelly base PACKED with different colored and sized purple glitters. There are so many glitters, that I almost felt like it needed more base to apply easily and less glitter. Very pretty, though. It's also less blue toned than my pictures are showing.

My third favorite is this gorgeous pink, Straw Fairy Blossom. A pink jelly base with gorgeous purple shimmer, pink flower glitters, and tons of other white and pink glitters. It applied nicely and the shimmer just glows!

Look at that glowy shimmer!

Let's move onto the three pastel crelly polishes. First, we have a very springy/Eastery yellow called Sticky Peeps. Super cute name, "Pastel yellow cream with all kinds of pastel glitters peeking through, including stars, hearts, squares, hexes, bars and a hint of holo butterflies."

Spring On the Rain is a blue crelly filled with pastel stars, teeny bars, shards, and hexes. The base covers up some of the glitters but the blue is a gorgeous color and I loved wearing it.

The final of the pastel crellies is Mountain Fizzle Doo. It's representative of Mountain Dew soda! "This polish represents one of my favorite drinks...Mountain Dew!  My favorite thing about Mt. Dew is the fizz!!!  So here is a pale neon green crelly (leaning more to creme) polish full of fizzle and fun!  Pale green, pastel green, hot pink and purple glitters found throughout" This will need more than one coat of my thin top coat, as you can still see some texture in the pictures.

Now we are left with the two glitter toppers. Orange You Purdy is a "glitter topper with iridescent glitters, neon orange glitters, purple glitters and silver glitters.  There may be a few other colors floating around for added depth. " You are only seeing one coat below over Orly Lemonade.

Look at this crazy mix of glitters!

Our final polish is the other glitter topper, Put A Ring On It! I love the name!! "A gold/silver holographic glitter bomb.  Loaded with tons of shapes, including hearts, stars, moons, butterflies, rounds, shreds and bars, hexes and squares to add depth." This is only one coat over Zoya Reagan.

Well, there you have it! I hope you weren't overwhelmed and were able to add some of these to your wishlist! Below are the links for Naild'it, including where you can purchase Andrea's polishes. Thanks for reading!
