Happy Mother's Day!!

Good morning, readers, and Happy Mother's Day to the mothers out there! I'm dedicating this post to my wonderful Mom, Jill! She is such an amazing and supportive mother and I couldn't be luckier to have her. I hope I am like her with my own children.

While on vacation last week, I got to paint her nails and I had to show you the result! I think she picked a great combo! This is Alter Ego Penny Pincher with Lynnderella Boy Girl Party for the gradient tips. It was so festive and we both really liked how it turned out!

My Mom's nail debut on my blog!!

I used:
Orly Nail Defense
1 coat of Alter Ego Penny Pincher
Makeup sponge pieces and Lynnderella Boy Girl Party for the gradient tips
2 coats of Cult Nails Wicked Fast

Here are a couple of pictures of my gorgeous Mom from our vacation(click to enlarge):

I'm Back With Pretty & Polished Sand Art!

Hello readers! I am back from my vacation and had a wonderful time! Thank you for the well wishes on my last blog post and my facebook page. I am glad to be back to blogging for you, though.

I took some pics of various manis that I did over the week that I will be showing you soon, but this had to come first. When I came home from being away for a week, I had a ton of nail mail! No spoilers yet on what I received but this was one of them and I had to try it right away.

Pretty & Polished Sand Art looks awesome over black! It is teeny matte glitters in pink, purple, blue, and green with a clear base. It was pretty dense, and I was happy with how many glitters came out in just one coat. This is 2 coats below over Milani Black Swift.

How cool is the close up?

I used:
Orly Nail Defense
2 coats of Milani Black Swift
2 coats of Pretty & Polished Sand Art
1 coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast

I am really loving these matte glitters lately from the indie polish makers, and this is no exception! It definitely reminds me of the colored sand used in sand art! I bought this from Chelsea's Etsy Store during one of the last openings. Her shop is closed now but you can sign up for email updates on when she opens again, and also check out her blog and facebook page for up to date news on how you can get this beauty and others!

Vacation!

Hello readers! Just wanted to give you a heads up that I'll be out of town for the next week so don't expect any posts until next weekend/beginning of next week.

My sister, Caitlin, is graduating from The University Of Florida this morning and we are heading down to be with my family! Then, we are off to a week in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia!

Hope you don't miss me too much! Have a wonderful week!

Lynnderella Love Potion No. 99!

Hello readers! Guess what I have to show you today! Another Lynn! This one is so gorgeous! I honestly can't stop admiring my nails. I received this in an awesome swap from Marnie at Ambiance Shop along with the Sinful Colors that I am wearing under Love Potion. She was so sweet to send another polish that she thought would be good "underwear" for it! Thanks, Marnie!

Yay for a close up! Look at the teeny holo glitters!

I used:
Orly Nail Defense
2 coats of Sinful Colors Purple Diamond
1 coat of Lynnderella Love Potion No. 99
1 coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast

Purple Diamond is a light shimmery purple and Love Potion's purple tinted base really gave it a new look that I love! And look at all of the pretty glitters! The pink ones are more sparse than the purples so they are special! This was just one coat! What do you think? Thanks for reading!

Lynnderella Thank Blue!

Good morning, readers! If you saw on my Facebook page yesterday, I received this beauty in the mail from a swap and couldn't wait to use it! I got out my swatch wheel and did a variety of base colors and decided to go with these 2 colors because they were different than the other ways I've seen Thank Blue! worn. I really really like this mani! Thank Blue! is gorgeous and so sparkly! I couldn't stop looking at my nails while driving around in the sun!

You can see the teeny holo glitters in this sun picture!

This shady picture helps show the bigger aqua pieces.

I used:
Orly Nail Defense
2 coats of OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys
2 coats of China Glaze Traffic Jam on my accent nail
1 coat of Lynnderella Thank Blue!
1 coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast

Look at how packed that glitter is! These are only one coat over the base coats! I could have done 2 coats, but I really wanted the base colors to show through enough. I love it! What do you think? Thanks for reading!
