The Digit-al Dozen DOES Monochrome, Day 2: Golden Stamping.

Press Sample

Good morning, readers! It's Day 2 of Monochrome Week with The Digit-al Dozen! For today's manicure, I went with a "golden" color scheme. The golden shimmer from the antique-ish OPI What Wizardry Is This? paired so nicely with Nicole by OPI Carrie'd Away, I knew I had to wear them together somehow.

I was also able to try out one of the images from the Messy Mansion MM18 plate finally!
I've never stamped over a textured polish but  Carrie'd Away made me think of a beehive so I tried! It was easier to see in person, but my camera is focusing too much on the sparkle in this picture.

Below is the image from the Messy Mansion website so you can see what the full plate looks like. I forgot to take a picture before I used it. It's obviously the image in the center of the plate with the beehive pattern and the bee:

For my Index and pinky fingers, I've done two coats of OPI What Wizardry Is This? and then a cuticle gradient of Nicole by OPI Carrie'd Away. What do you think? It's a bit tame for a Digit-al Dozen manicure but I really liked the simplicity letting the gorgeous textured polishes show through.

As with the MM14 platethis image stamped easily and I can't wait to use the others as well!

Messy Mansion plates can be purchased at the website below and this plate is $7.00.

Shipping is from Australia but it is very reasonable to ship all over, $2.50 for 6 plates sent air mail.

Thanks so much for reading!

  2. I love this! Stamping over textured polishes is always way more effective than I think it's going to be. Solid!
