Swatch Saturday: Pacifica Unicorn Horn!

Press Sample

Good afternoon, readers! I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend! Have you heard of Pacifica 7 Free Nail Polish? They are formulated without phthalates, toluene, xylene, parabens, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and animals. They are 100% vegan, cruelty free, and have 25 polish shades to choose from! I have Unicorn Horn to show you today, both layered over black and alone.

Pacifica Unicorn Horn

A sheer pearly shimmer that appears purple/maroon over a black base.
First, I'm showing you two coats alone with no top coat, and then one coat over a black base.
I had no issues for application and the dry time was normal. I was curious at how the 7-free formula would act, but I didn't notice any difference against the other polishes I use every day. I prefer this polish layered, and it would transform any base color.

(Above: two coats. Below: one coat over plain black creme.)

What do you think of Pacifica Unicorn Horn? Would you wear it alone or layer it? What layering suggestions do you have for me? Is the idea of 7-free nail polish something you are interested in?

You can purchase the 25 Pacifica polishes at: http://www.pacificaperfume.com/beauty/color/nail-polish

They retail for $9 each and are currently available to US and Canadian addresses.

Thanks so much for reading!

  1. I have several Pacifica perfumes, body lotions and shower gels. Those products have always worked very well and are beautifully scented. I look forward to checking out the polish.

  2. This look really lovely :) I think I prefer to wear it over a dark color too but just for a simple wash of color when you don´t have time to do a full manicure or nail art it looks rather lovely with it alone on the nails :)

    1. Thank you! I completely agree! I think I would like it even more on it's own if I didn't have slight staining on my nails right now.
