Digit-al Dozen Dotting Days, #2: Flower Dotticure!

Press Sample

Good morning! I wasn't able to put up a dot manicure yesterday, but today is a new day and I have a second contribution to the Digit-al Dozen Dotting Days! This one is a bit funky, I started with the flower shapes and then tried to "outline" in dots but the dots were too large to make flower shaped layers so I ended up with these odd shaped ones instead. I am still making my way through the tons of new Milani Color Statement polishes and used 4 in this mani--I just love the color combo!

Here are the polishes I used for today's look:

Milani Mint Crush: A mint creme. I used two coats as my base. It covered well, especially for this light of a creme.
Milani Peri-wink: a periwinkle creme with hidden shimmer. I love this color, can't wait to use it for a full mani! You can see the shimmer in the bottle shot at the top of this post.
Milani Cupcake Icing: a orchid pink creme. Opaque enough for dots!
Milani Gold Plated: a gold foil shimmer. This added just the right amount of sparkle to the mani.

To create this look, I started with two coats of Milani Mint Crush. Once dry, I used a medium dotting tool and Milani Peri-wink to do 6 dots for a flower shape. Then, I used Milani Cupcake Icing and Milani Gold Plated with a smaller dotting tool to dot around the flowers. HK Girl top coat sealed it all in.

What do you think of this look? I'm not 100% loving the design, but the color combo wins it for me.

Milani Color Statement cremes worked really well for this manicure because there are opaque enough to see the true color with just a dot. I use a TON of Milani polishes in my nail art, and I can't wait to try out some of the other new Color Statement colors this week!

You can purchase the Milani Color Statement polishes starting at $3.99 each at CVS stores nationwide. They are also available at the Milani Cosmetics Website HERE.

*The polishes in this post were sent for me to review with my honest opinion.
