Swatch Saturday: Nicole by OPI Coca-Cola Collection!

If you are out of the loop, Nicole by OPI just released the Coca-Cola Collection and I have them for you today! If you missed it, check out my This or That? post from earlier this week--I compared these soda inspired shades to their OPI counterparts from last year. Vote on your favorites!
As promised, here are full swatches of the new collection. I have to admit, I'm really leaning toward the Nicole by OPI Collection more than the old OPI one. Aside from one or two, the Nicole by OPI Coca-Cola Collection wins this battle for me. So let's take a look.

Good morning, readers! It's Saint Patrick's Day, but I don't have green nails. I showed last night on Instagram that I am doing a wear test for the OPI Infinite Shine polishes so check out my Facebook Page today for some throwbacks to older St. Patty's Day nails.
Last spring, OPI released their Coca-Cola Collection. It consisted of 9 soda-inspired shades and you can see my review post here. This spring, they've released a new Coca-Cola Collection under the Nicole by OPI brand. There are 6 soda-inspired shades (no polishes for Vanilla Coke and Cherry Coke this time) and I'll have that full swatch post up this weekend.
In the mean time, I thought it would be interesting to compare the 6 Nicole by OPI shades with their OPI counterparts. (I've obviously excluded the 3 OPI polishes that don't have counterparts in the Nicole by OPI Collection.) Let's take a look!

Good morning! I just got word that Nicole by OPI is teaming up with Coca Cola for 6 limited edition, soda inspired shades. I have the press release attached below. I can't wait to see how these differ from the original OPI Coca Cola Collection release--seems interesting that they are doing it a second time. Maybe they had more than one idea for each soda and this is a way that they can release them under the Nicole line. These should be in stores now or very soon. Let's take a look:

Tutorial Tuesday: Unicorn Nail Art!

Good morning, I have a tutorial to share with you today! At the beginning of last month, I shared this unicorn nail art design and had a TON of great feedback! So, I thought it may make a cute tutorial! It was partially based off of my Zebra Tutorial and I think you can definitely take today's tutorial and modify it slightly if you wanted to do a horse (different colors and no horn) or pony(no horn) as well! It has more steps than most of my tutorials but it's because of the many details.

Game of Thrones Weirwood Tree Nail Art!
Hello, everyone! Any Game of Thrones fans out there? I'm sad that the finale was last night and now we have a while to wait until it comes on again. I wish their seasons were longer! But no worries if you haven't caught up on the finale yet, I won't have any spoilers in today's post!
I've always loved the gorgeous Weirwood trees in Game of Thrones. I decided after seeing one in the finale last night that I would try to recreate it on my nails.

Good afternoon! This week, I received the new Nicole by OPI Seize The Summer Collection and I knew I wanted to try some watermelon nail art using my favorite of the collection: The Coral of the Story. It's a gorgeous and bright coral creme and is perfect for summer! What says summer better than watermelon? I usually do watermelon nail art with the rind as a french tip, but thought it would be easier to try a "ruffian" style with the rind at the cuticle. This manicure is so simple and uses no nail art skills or tools-- just two different regular bottles of polish! Some seed shaped black nail art "stones" were the perfect final step for this look!

Good afternoon! It's been hard for me to get back in the blogging groove after the long holiday weekend and Hailey being on summer break! Also, we've been working on some really exciting new things for AIA lately that take up a bit of my normal "blogging" time. I'm hoping to find a balance again soon. Good morning! I have a cutesy manicure to show you today! It has been a while since I've done any "cute" nails so I took the suggestion of my friend Jen, from My Nail Polish Obsession, and modified my Zebra Tutorial to be a unicorn! (It was supposed to be for tutorial tuesday yesterday, but my tutorial attempts didn't work out very well. I may visit it again in the future if anyone really does want to see this as a tutorial?)

The Digit-al Dozen DOES Texture, Day 1: Fossil Nail Art!
Good morning, readers!! It's time for this month's Digit-al Dozen nail art week and the theme is TEXTURE!! I'm pretty excited about this theme, you know how I love textured manis and I'm brainstorming up some fun ideas.
For today's post, I went a little outside of the box. Instead of going for textured polish (which you know I will probably use this week in a few different ways) I tried to think of things in nature that are textured. My daughter, Hailey, had a school project recently where you put things under your paper (rocks, leaves, etc) and rub a crayon over the paper to see the "fossils." Sounded like a cool concept for nail art, right?

Dress Inspired Nail Art!
Nail art inspiration happens all the time with lots of different things. This time, it was this gorgeous dress from Light In The Box that my friend Kim shared and I knew instantly that I would love this color combo on my nails! I set out to do the awesome top half of the dress (as you see on the left hand side of the collage below), but I fell in love with the fan brush gradient on my tips and decided to take that off and do a full mani as the gradient instead (shown on the right side of the collage below).
