I started with a base coat of OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go? Once that was dry, I used the fan brush method to apply all three colors in a gradient. I learned this technique from this tutorial from Neverland Nail Blog!
At the last moment I added 2 coats of Ninja Polish Sticks 'n Stones but I'm undecided on if I like the added step. I think I've fallen out of love with glitter lately and now wish I'd done something free handed over the top (or even left it as a pretty gradient). Live and learn!
What do you think? Thanks so much for reading, have a great Sunday!
*The OPI polishes used in this post were a previous press sample and are linked to the original review post.
I think the glitter is lovely, but I know what you mean. Sometimes I put glitter on for a second day of mani wear if I know I can't change my polish. Love this technique, I've never tried it but I might give it a go!
ReplyDeleteTOTALLY 100000000% love this. xx
ReplyDeleteWhat cute coral nail polish, and the top coat looks great :)
ReplyDeleteI like black and white glitter over gradients :) that being said, this was such a subtle gradient that I think I agree with you--maybe just left alone or with a subtle glitter like Fairy Dust it would have shone more. It's still pretty though! I like the classic colour combined with the funky edge. Reminds me of a coral dress I have that I wear with black beads, black wide belt, and black shoes. Maybe I'll do a mani like this next time I go out in that outfit :D
ReplyDeleteCool, this looks great. Love gradients with b&w glitter! <3
