Good morning, readers! It's the final day of Texture Week with The Digit-al Dozen and I've had so much fun! Today's manicure is a silly one for the Easter holiday weekend starting today with Good Friday. Do you do egg hunts on your lawn for Easter? It's one of the things my kids enjoy doing the most and I am so excited that Owen (almost 2 years old) can participate with Hailey (almost 6 years old) more than last year.

These 2 designs are super cute Halloween characters and they GLOW IN THE DARK like nothing I've used before. They glowed so well, I was sitting on my couch one evening with the hubby watching tv and we had our tall lamp on in the room and my nails were SO bright green, I couldn't believe it!
The glow in the dark pictures showed up better on my iPhone so make sure to check out my Instagram account (@adventuresinacetone) to see those photos from over the weekend.
Spooktacular is a black base with cute white glow in the dark ghosts.
Bone Rattling is a pile of different sized white glow in the dark skulls.
What do you think? I think they are super fun for the season!

Incoco Fright Night Halloween Collection, Part 1!
Press Sample
Hello, readers! Today, I have 2 of the 4 new Fright Night Halloween 2013 collection of real nail polish appliqués from Incoco! I decided to pair these two together in one mani for you! The two remaining designs will be shown on another day(those ones glow in the dark!).
These two may not glow in the dark, but they are sparkly, spooky, and gorgeous!! Both are orange glitter bases that seem to glow from within!
The Incoco strips are so easy to apply, that I did this mani in my car while waiting for my daughter in the carloop at school! I only needed a nail file to file off the excess at the sides and tip!
Fright Night is an orange glitter base with black silhouettes of haunted houses, a graveyard, and bats! There are two similar designs on each end of the double ended strips so you can get a fun look if you switch them up within the mani.
After Dark is the same orange glitter base but with a black gradient at the cuticle. It takes on a deep purple look where the orange glitter overlaps the black. So pretty, and yet Halloween appropriate at the same time!
What do you think? I think they went really well together and are super fun for the season! I can't wait to show you the two remaining Fright Night Halloween 2013 designs. If you follow me on instagram, you probably saw my teaser glow in the dark pic of the others!

Incoco Fall Nail Appliqués!
Press Sample
Good morning, readers! If you are a fan of real nail polish appliqués, I have a fun post for you! Incoco recently released 8 new designs for their Fall 2013 collection and I have 4 to share with you!
Autumn Night, Twill Weave, Tailored Fit, Light As A Feather.
Let's start with my favorite of the bunch, Twill Weave! It's described on the Incoco site as: "A seemingly textured neutral and maroon herringbone pattern that gives your nails the warm and fuzzies." They applied as easily as the others I've tried and I chose to pair them with an accent nail of Hare Rusty Hearts to play off of the maroon in the strips.
Next, we have Light As A Feather. This is so delicately gorgeous, Incoco describes it as: "Wispy pink and purple feathers lain atop a glittering gold base make this one delicate and elegant shade." I love that the wispy design comes from the cuticle and it made me feel like a fairy princess wearing these!
Finally, we have the two final appliqués, which I have paired together for a fun mani!
Autumn Night: "Like the sky on a November night, this rich, creamy blue with a touch of teal gives you beautiful, bold nails."
Tailored Fit: "A military inspired houndstooth pattern combining camo and neutral for a perfectly festive fall manicure."
I've paired these together by doing Autumn Night on every nail first. Then, I grabbed the coordinating size strip for 3 of my nails on each hand and left a gap at the cuticle for an easy ruffian design. It reminds me of dark jeans paired with a houndstooth sweater! There was a slight bump of level difference where the second layer was added, so you could always put a coat of thicker top coat over the entire nail to smooth that out if it will bother you.
What do you think of these new Fall nail strips? I don't have any photographed wear tests for you but you can see my previous wear test post HERE and see how well the Incoco strips lasted on me!

Incoco Real Nail Polish Appliqué Puddle Jumping Review!
Hello, readers! A couple of weeks ago, I showed you this mani I created using 2 of the three sets of Incoco Real Nail Polish Appliqúes I was sent to review. Well, today's post is on the third set!
Puddle Jumping is a blue creme strip with built in base and top coat. There is no shimmer or design on this one but I felt that worked to it's disadvantage. I find that nail strips with designs or shimmer mask any ridges or bumps in the natural nail. As you can see in my photos below, a plain shiny creme colored strip shows my slight nail ridges.
They applied easily, just as the two previously used designs, and took no time at all to put on! I love the ease of nail appliqués and find myself wanting to collect tons of them! I don't have a wear test for you on this set, but I did show that I wore the other Incoco sets for 6 days with barely any tip wear!
Here are step by step instructions, and even a video, on the Incoco website for you if you want to see how to do it: http://www.incoco.com/LearnHowto.aspx
They each come with two of these sheets of 8 double ended strips:
Once you pick the size for your nail. you break it apart from the others like this:
Peeling off the plastic and then the strip from the backing, you apply the strip directly to your clean bare nail. Stretch and smooth and file off the excess.

So as much as I love Incoco Real Nail Polish Appliques, I will stick to the shimmers or designed ones to hide my nail ridges. Puddle Jumping is a gorgeous blue, though!
They came off with nail polish remover but it was a bit more difficult than regular polish. There was a sticky clear "base coat" layer that needed some extra removal time but nothing like glitter polish.

Incoco Real Nail Polish Appliqué Review!
Good morning, readers! What do you think of the new look on the blog? It's much cleaner and I just love the header that my wonderful hubby made for me!
Today's post is of a look I created using 2 different sets of Incoco nail polish appliqués! I was sent three different sets so you will see the third set in a different post in the future. These are the three different colors I received:
Today's post is of a look I created using 2 different sets of Incoco nail polish appliqués! I was sent three different sets so you will see the third set in a different post in the future. These are the three different colors I received:
Puddle Jumping, Pink Lemonade, and Very Rosy.
These were very easy to apply (if you've used the Sally Hansen ones before, they are the same idea and steps) and I loved how they looked on!
Here are step by step instructions, and even a video, on the Incoco website for you if you want to see how to do it: http://www.incoco.com/LearnHowto.aspx
I've paired Very Rosy with Pink Lemonade accent nails:
In the macro, you can see the "printing lines" but from arms length they weren't noticeable!
Look at this gorgeous shimmer!
I wore these for about 6 days! I had a very busy week so it worked out really well and I was able to get a wear-time photo for you after 5 full days. 9 of my nails just had tip wear and one had a chip. WAY better wear time than polish on my nails!
You can see a crack on the pinky nail. I'm sure it would have chipped off soon after. My nails bend a lot so I think that's where the cracks and chips came from.
So all in all, the wear time was great and they looked awesome! I love the ease of applying nail strips instead of being the one to make the design by hand!
They came off with nail polish remover but it was a bit more difficult than regular polish. There was a sticky clear "base coat" layer that needed some extra removal time but nothing like glitter polish.
I am definitely impressed with these and can't wait to try out the third set for you!
