The Digit-al Dozen DOES It All Again: Art!

Hello, readers! It's Art theme day with the Digit-al Dozen September Spectacular! Have you been enjoying this week so far? I've been having a great time revisiting the themes from the first year!

So today's theme is Art and I've done a design loosely based on the many splatter paintings by Jackson Pollock. Instead of recreating one of his paintings with the same color theme, I chose to do my own color theme using a splatter technique. To make it a bit more interesting, I did the whole mani using textured polishes!

The base is Zoya London and I've splattered using an old pen barrel with each of these colors:
Zoya Chyna, Zoya Solange, Zoya Stevie, Kiko Sugar Mat 643, and Kiko Sugar Mat 644. Of course, I skipped the top coat to let the texture stick around!

What do you think? Thanks for reading! Come back tomorrow for the next throwback theme post!

  2. As much as I love splatter manis, this one doesn't work for me. I don't think that sands make good splash.

  3. When I tried a splatter texture mani - the polish just had a lot of difficulty splattering! This looks amazing however :)
