Good morning! Today, I have the new textures from Zoya for Fall 2014! They called the Ultra Pixie Dusts and they are different than the previous two versions of Pixies. The original pixies were tiny textured bits, the Magical Pixies had the addition of small and big holo hexes, and these are like a mix between the two: they have small and bigger hexes that are the same color as the base. Let's take a look!
Zoya Oswin
True red, textured Pixie Dust with Mega Hex Particles.
I'm showing two coats below with no top coat. This is the only one of the three that dries to the true matte of the other Pixies.
Zoya Arianna
Blue-toned red wine, textured Pixie Dust with Mega Hex Particles.
I'm showing two coats below with no top coat.
This doesn't dry to a true matte finish like we've seen with all of the previous Pixies. It's more of a jelly base that dries down to reveal the texture and glitter but stays kind of shiny.
Zoya Noir
Deep, vampy plum, textured Pixie Dust with Mega Hex Particles.
I'm showing two coats below with no top coat.
Again, as with Arianna, this doesn't dry matte. I did allow ample dry time before these photos to see if it would get more matte but it didn't.
What do you think of this new trio of textures from Zoya? I love the colors! I will definitely be wearing them this fall. Which do you have to have? Thanks so much for reading!
These Ultra Pixie Dusts are available at Zoya.com now for $10 each. Don't forget to like Zoya on Facebook, too!
*The polishes in this post were sent for me to review with my honest opinion.
Oswin might just be the first Pixie Dust I can't resist.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes Oswin ever more special, to me, is that it's named after Clara from Doctor Who. They gave us two geeky named polishes this season. And both polishes are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI adore the original Pixie Dust polishes, but I am on the fence about these. The larger glitters look a bit out of place to me, but once I see them in person I might fall for them, especially Oswin.
ReplyDeleteI just placed an order for all 3 of them yesterday, I love them!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are perfect for fall and I think the larger glitter makes them fun, without being too chunky, like the magical pixies were.
